Monday 

4.30pm - 5.15pm Grade 1 Foundation, age 6-8 approx 
This dynamic class introduces young dancers to the foundational techniques of ballet, tap, and modern dance, all in one exciting, well-rounded session! Students will explore the elegance and discipline of ballet, the rhythm and footwork of tap, and the creativity and freedom of modern dance.In ballet, students will learn basic positions, movements, and terminology while developing strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Tap dance will focus on rhythm, coordination, and musicality as students learn simple tap steps. Modern dance will encourage self-expression and theatre crsft movement. Through fun and engaging exercises, students will enhance their musicality, coordination, and balance, all while developing a love for the performing arts. Perfect for young dancers looking to explore a variety of dance styles in one exciting class! 
5.15pm - 6pm RAD Grade 2 Ballet, approximate age 7-8, Studio 2 
The RAD Grade 2 Ballet class is a perfect next step for young dancers looking to deepen their ballet training. this class focuses on refining basic ballet technique while introducing more advanced movements and terminology.Students will learn a variety of ballet steps, building strength, flexibility, and discipline, while encouraging musicality and expression through movement.Throughout the grade, students will work towards preparing for their RAD Grade 2 exam, which is designed to assess their technique, performance, and knowledge of ballet. If students wish not to take an exam, they will develop a deep love and respect for ballet in a supportive, encouraging environment. 

Tuesday 

4.15pm - 5pm Grade 2 IDTA Ballet, approximate age 8-9, Studio 1 
This class emphasises its role as ballet being the foundation of all dance forms. This level focuses on building strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality while fostering a deeper understanding of ballet's fundamental principles and their application across diverse dance styles.These foundational skills are critical for success in other dance forms, as they teach precision, control, and body awareness.These elements, core to ballet, provide a solid technical base transferable to genres like jazz, contemporary, and even urban dance styles, where sharp lines, precision, and flexibility are equally essential.Free movement within the syllabus encourages creativity and expression, allowing students to explore their artistry while fostering musical interpretation. 
5pm - 5.45pm Musical Theatre kids, Studio 2 
Joining a musical theatre class offers incredible advantages for children aged 8-11, combining the joys of singing, acting, and dancing into one dynamic experience. It enhances self-confidence and stage presence, helping children become more comfortable performing in front of others. Through learning scripts, lyrics, and choreography, they develop strong memory, focus, and coordination skills. Musical theatre also nurtures creativity and emotional expression, allowing children to explore different characters and stories in a fun, supportive environment. Additionally, working as part of a cast teaches teamwork, discipline, and responsibility, as they must collaborate and commit to rehearsals. Most importantly, musical theatre fosters a love for the performing arts, providing a space for children to express themselves, build friendships, and develop skills that benefit them both on and off the stage. 
6pm - 7pm Acro Gym, infant/junior, Studio 1 
Children’s acro/gym classes offer numerous physical, mental, and social benefits. These classes help develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, which contribute to overall fitness and body awareness. They also enhance cognitive skills such as focus, discipline, and problem-solving as children learn new movements and sequences. Additionally, acro/gym classes promote confidence and resilience by encouraging kids to step outside their comfort zones and master new skills through perseverance. The group environment fosters teamwork, cooperation, and social connections, helping children build friendships and communication skills. Overall, acro/gym classes provide a fun, engaging way for kids to stay active while developing important life skills. 

Wednesday 

4.30pm - 5.30pm IDTA Grade 4, approx age 10-11, Studio 1 
The IDTA (International Dance Teachers’ Association) Grade 4 Ballet class is a structured and engaging program designed for students seeking to expand their technical skills, artistry, and understanding of classical ballet. This level builds upon the foundations established in earlier grades, introducing more complex movements and developing the strength, precision, and control needed for advanced work.Grade 4 introduces a greater focus on musicality and expression, encouraging students to perform with artistry and an understanding of the relationship between movement and music. Exercises are designed to improve dynamics, phrasing, and the ability to convey emotion through dance. 
5.30pm - 6.30pm RAD Grade 3, Studio 2 
The RAD Grade 3 Ballet class offers students a comprehensive dance experience that builds on foundational ballet technique while introducing more intricate movements and artistry. This level focuses on developing strength, coordination, and precision in classical ballet through barre and center exercises, emphasizing correct posture, turnout, and musicality.An exciting component of the Grade 3 syllabus is character work, which introduces students to the theatrical aspect of dance. Drawing inspiration from traditional folk styles, character dances are performed with stylised movements and rhythms that complement the classical training. 
6.30pm - 7.30pm Intermediate Musical Theatre (Combined Act, Dance, Sing) age 10-13, Studio 2 
A combined musical theatre class that focuses on training as a triple threat – singing, dancing, and acting – is an exciting, dynamic experience that inspires creativity, builds confidence, and fosters essential skills for the performing arts. Every class is filled with variety, combining vocal exercises, dance routines, and dramatic scene work. Students move seamlessly between disciplines, ensuring that no two sessions feel the same. Musical theatre classes provide a space where students can experiment with new ideas, take risks, and explore different characters and emotions. Whether it’s nailing a jazz routine, belting out a solo, or delivering a comedic monologue, every moment is an opportunity to shine.Training as a triple threat means mastering all three disciplines simultaneously. Students improve their breath control for singing, coordination and stamina for dancing, and emotional expression for acting. Combining these skills prepares them for the unique challenges of live performance. 
4.15pm - 5.15pm Junior/ Inter Dance Festival rehearsal (Open to all pupils) 
Participating in dance competitions offers young children a host of benefits that extend far beyond the stage. It’s a unique opportunity for personal growth, skill development, and memorable experiences.Preparing for competitions requires consistent practice, focus, and dedication. Children learn the value of hard work, time management, and perseverance—skills that are beneficial in all areas of life.Competitions teach children to handle both victories and disappointments with grace. They learn that success comes with effort and that setbacks are opportunities to improve. These lessons foster resilience and a healthy competitive spirit.The excitement of performing and the camaraderie of competition often ignite a lifelong love for dance. For some, it can be the foundation of a future career in the performing arts.Competitions offer moments of joy and camaraderie that children cherish for years. The sense of accomplishment and the friendships formed create lasting memories that shape their childhood experiences. 

Saturday 

9.45am - 10.30am White Group Drama, age 8-9, Studio 3 
A drama class for 8 & 9 year-olds is an exciting space where imagination takes centre stage. Through interactive games, role-play, and short scenes, kids explore acting techniques that build confidence, creativity, and teamwork. They dive into character development, learn how to project their voices, and express emotions through fun activities and storytelling. With plenty of encouragement and collaboration, the class ignites a love for performance while helping young actors find their voice and shine on stage. 
10.30am - 11.15am White Jazz, age 8-9, Studio 1 
A jazz class for 8 & 9-year-olds is a high-energy blend of learning and fun, where young dancers master sharp, dynamic movements and exciting choreography. With a focus on technique, they practice kicks, turns, and jumps, building strength, flexibility, and rhythm. The upbeat music and creative routines keep them engaged and motivated, while opportunities for self-expression add an element of joy. Guided by enthusiastic instructors, the class balances hard work with laughter, making it an inspiring and enjoyable experience for every dancer. 
10.30-11.15 Intermediate Drama, age 10-12, Studio 3 
Progressing from junior to intermediate drama allows young performers to build on their foundational skills, gaining greater confidence, emotional depth, and stage presence. At this level, they develop more advanced techniques such as improvisation, character analysis, voice projection, and script interpretation. They also refine their ability to express emotions authentically, engage in more complex storytelling, and collaborate more effectively with others. Additionally, intermediate drama fosters stronger communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills, preparing students for more demanding performances and helping them grow both as actors and individuals. 
11.15am - 12.00 Intermediate Singing, age 10-12, Studio 2 
A singing and music class for 10-12 year olds is an exciting mix of vocal training, musical exploration, and creative expression. Students learn vocal techniques like breath control, pitch, and harmony while singing popular musical theatre and classical songs that inspire and energise them. With engaging activities and a supportive atmosphere, it’s a vibrant space where young singers discover their voice and joy of making music together. 
12 - 12.45pm Intermediate Jazz, Studio 1 
Attending a jazz dance class that covers cabaret, modern dance, and musical theatre in an inclusive school setting offers both fun and valuable technical skills for vocational and recreational students alike. These classes provide an energetic and engaging environment where students can express themselves through dynamic movements, upbeat choreography, and theatrical storytelling. They develop essential dance techniques such as flexibility, coordination, strength, and precision, while also mastering performance skills like stage presence, musicality, and expression. 12 - 12.45pm White Group Singing, age 8-9 years, Studio 2 
For 8-9-year-olds learning about music and voice, singing offers immense musical value, developing their understanding of pitch, rhythm, harmony, and vocal technique. Through a blend of classical and musical theatre styles, young singers explore different vocal tones, dynamics, and storytelling elements, enhancing both their technical skills and expressive abilities. Part-singing introduces them to harmonization, ear training, and musical teamwork, fostering a deeper appreciation for choral singing. As they progress, their growing confidence and discipline help shape them into a well-rounded, expressive ensemble. With dedication and passion, their class transforms into a renowned choir, showcasing their vocal development and love for music through inspiring performances that highlight their talent and hard work. 
12.45pm - 12.00 Intermediate Tap, age 10-12, Studio 1 
A tap class for 10-12 year olds working towards exams and performances is a dynamic blend of precision, rhythm, and artistry. Students refine their technique with intricate footwork, practice exam syllabi, and learn polished routines for the stage. The class focuses on timing, clarity of sounds, and performance quality, challenging dancers to combine technical accuracy with expressive style. With supportive coaching and group camaraderie, the class motivates students to excel while celebrating their progress, making each step towards their goals both rewarding and fun. 
3.00pm - 3.45pm Infant/Junior Contemporary Dance, age 7-10 years, Studio 2 
Junior contemporary dance class strikes the perfect balance between fun and challenge, offering young dancers the chance to explore movement and creativity. Through fluid combinations and innovative floorwork, students develop strength, flexibility, and coordination while pushing their boundaries with exciting choreography. The class emphasises self-expression, encouraging dancers to convey emotions and tell stories through their movements. With a supportive atmosphere and opportunities to explore personal style, it’s a rewarding experience that fosters both artistic growth and technical development.
