Here’s a very special message from Senior Ballet Master of The Royal Ballet Company for all our Ballet Boys.

How appropriate on this World Ballet Day we can announce our new Boys only Ballet class and have such encouraging words from Gary Avis Senior Ballet Master of The Royal Ballet.

"Dear Boys

I hear you’ve been lucky enough to have your own studio and can start your new ballet classes soon. This is wonderful news!

As you begin at the Ballet Barre, remember strength comes in many different guises:
Strength of the mind, mentally.
Strength of body, physically.
But most importantly.....
Strength of character, resilience.
Ballet is for everyone and becomes a way of life, so live and breathe every second and ENJOY IT!
Wishing you every success
Gary Avis x"

Another exciting class about to begin . Starting after half term , our "Boys only Ballet and strengthening class".
Saturday 12.45-1.30pm‬
Specific boys ballet steps, strengthening exercises , and lots of jumping but most of all , fun with a room full of boys.
We have had many boys with us over the years and many have gone on to perform professionally and some even pop back to say hello and to take workshops with our seniors.
It’s absolutely brilliant that we are able to offer this class for boys ages 5-11yrs and to have Charlie, one of our vocational senior boys to assist with the class is great. Charlie , along with Jack who is also a Northern Ballet Associate has been nominated for an IDTA scholarship after gaining exceptionally high marks in his last ballet grade exam. He is very excited to be able to pass on his love and passion for dance and performing to other boys.
There has been a lot of interest and we are almost full but do have a couple of places left for after half term. Why not get in touch for more details and grab that place .
Also Photographed is Lincoln who is a member of Phoenix Youth Academy and won a special achievement award at English Youth Ballet. Thanks to Hannah for permission to use the photo from our fundraising calendar.
Thank you to Gary also photographed for taking time out on World Ballet day to send such an encouraging message to our boys.

Here’s former pupil Saskia, Miss Ali’s daughter ( Miss Angela’s niece) with fabulous news, congratulations Sas from your KH family. ❤️

"Hey guys, hope you’re all well! I’m excited to be working on this years series of It Takes Two (The Strictly Come Dancing spin off show). I’ll be Zoe Ball and Rylan’s talent runner, looking after them and their teams and getting them from A to B in studio to ensure a smooth show!
We film live from Elstree Studios in London, It’s always a fab experience working here as there’s so much going on! My production office is in the Holby City Hospital, backing onto the Eastenders set and amongst other studios currently filming the likes of The Chase, Pointless and Celebrity Juice. I even caught a glimpse of The Crown set which is home to a true to size Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street (built across what was the iconic Big Brother house)!
It’s a really fun show to be part of, there’s a ton of glitz and glam as you can imagine, a lot of running around as it’s live and as ever in tele, a silly amount of coffee to fuel the super long days!
Our first live show starts tomorrow at 18:30 on BBC2! Lots of love and Keeeeep Dancingggg, Sas x"
