✨🐾 Happy Retirement, Millie! 🐾✨
Yesterday we celebrate the incredible Millie, the beautiful guide dog who has officially retired after years of devoted service to her mum, Ann Ruddick MBE . Millie has guided, protected and loved with her whole heart — and now it’s her turn to relax and enjoy a well-earned rest. 💛
The best part? Millie gets to stay right where she belongs: at home with Ann and her husband, alongside the new guide dog who will soon join their family. At our Dancing for Sight support and musical chairs classes, Millie has sat like a calm little mascot — sitting patiently in the corner of the studio, keeping a gentle eye on everything with that wise, peaceful presence we all adore.
Thank you, Millie, for years of loyalty and life-changing service. Enjoy every moment of retirement — you’ve earned it. 🐶🌟

We are beyond proud of former pupil Hannah Richardson, who will be playing the role of Ellen in the 2026 international tour of The Last Ship a hit musical by the 17 times Grammy award winner Sting.
Many of us went along to watch and support Hannah play the role of Mary in Jesus Christ Superstar at Bradford Alhambra.
We wish Hannah all the very best in her role as Ellen.

We are delighted to share a heartfelt testimonial from one of our former pupils, Andrew, whose words beautifully reflect the lasting impact Miss Angela has on her students.
His experience speaks to her dedication, passion, and the genuine care she pours into every pupil she teaches which is reflected in the school.
“I’m forever grateful to Miss Angela of Kirkham Henry, who played an instrumental role in preparing me for the Royal Ballet School, which has fundamentally shaped a wonderful and fulfilling career in dance, that I could only dreamed of. Her deep care, honest insight and passion for the individual is a rare gift and huge asset to our industry and the wider community. Thank you.”

So lovely for Beth and Owen to call in to KH to see me yesterday to share exciting news. The first will see Beth head off to Monaco to perform in Charlie and the chocolate factory together with another gorgeous former pupil Laurie Scarth. Beth’s second wonderful news has to remain a secret until the full cast is announced. So my lips are sealed until Beth says it’s ok to share. Lovely to see Beth and Owen and hear Beth’s latest news. I want to share a magical moment from last night’s opening of The Nutcracker at The Royal Opera House.
The whole of cast, crew and audience joined in the celebration of Sir Peter Wright’s 99th Birthday (on Tuesday) at the end of the performance.
Former KH pupil (my daughter Sam) as Senior Répétiteur shared a special moment with Sir Peter.
His wonderful production of The Nutcracker has delighted audiences since 1984.

🎉 A Huge Congratulations from Everyone at KH! 🎉
We are absolutely delighted to celebrate Steph, Evie-Mae, and Gina on receiving offers from Bird College! This is an incredible achievement and a testament to their dedication, talent, and hard work.
Bird College is renowned for its exceptional training in dance, music, and performing arts, and being offered a place is a true milestone.
The girls are still in the middle of their audition journeys, but they are absolutely thrilled to have been offered a place at such a prestigious institution.
We couldn’t be prouder of you all. Keep shining, keep dancing, and keep believing in yourselves — this is just the beginning! 💛✨

Founded by former pupil Scott Garnham and Simon Schofield, Sisco has gone on from strength to strength.
One of their recent productions was Gravity at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane with Three amazing musical theatre leading ladies.
Critics highlighted the concert as a spectacular celebration of musical theatre, featuring a mix of classic and contemporary showstoppers, and leaving audiences uplifted.
The performance also included stunning musical arrangements and was met with a seven-minute standing ovation, have you got your tickets for next year’s tour?
