We’re immensely proud former pupil Scott Garnham’s Sisco entertainment will be producing a concert version of Avenue Q in London’s west end.

The 2003 musical won the Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book, and made its way to UK shores at the Noël Coward Theatre in 2006. It ran for a total of 1,179 performances in the capital, including stints at the Gielgud Theatre and Wyndham’s Theatre, before closing in October 2010. The new concert, featuring the musical’s original London cast, will take place on 10 November 2024 at the Sondheim Theatre. It will bring together the original London company, including Jon Robyns (Princeton/Rod), Julie Atherton (Kate/Lucy), Simon Lipkin (Nicky/Trekkie/Blue Bear), Giles Terera (Gary Coleman), Ann Harada (Christmas Eve), Sion Lloyd (Brian), and Jacqui Sanchez (Mrs T/Yellow Bear).

The concert is produced by Scott Garnham and Simon Schofield for Sisco Entertainment and directed by Julie Atherton, with musical direction by James Doughty.photo Sisco Entertainment.

These young people are a special breed, they deserve a mention this morning as I’ve watched them grow up and change into beautiful young ladies.

Do come along to watch them in Showcase ‘24 at Malton School on 20th & 21st July , not only have they all been working so hard in their GCSE’s but also Showcase and 8 of them are taking their RAD grade 7 this morning also. A very proud Miss Angela x

Sunday evening smiles- Here’s our RAD grade 7’s looking different to their Prom photos from this morning! All beautifully prepared for today’s filmed examination.

Earlier in the year Miss Angela suggested the girls voted for when they preferred to take their grade 7 , hence the filmed exam session, as all voted to take it after their GCSE’s. Thank you RAD for this option.

Now you can all just concentrate on Showcase for next weekend. 👏👏
21st July.

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone, yes I mean everyone, who helped yesterday and who will be helping today, this is where Team KH truly comes into force.

Introducing Zac- Seen here with ‘Uncle’ Richard, Boys chaperone and his new friends Lucas and Sam.

Zac’s mum Laura sent us this lovely message after Zac’s first Showcase.

“Wow what a weekend. Zac has had the best weekend and I can’t thank you all enough. All the staff and chaperones went above and beyond to support Zac but not only Zac me too as I was a little bit apprehensive about him doing three dance shows to the point I nearly pulled him out, but Zac completed all three shows and on our drive home after the last show Zac looked at me and said “ I love dancing” So over this weekend, I have learnt that Zac is confident and has proved me wrong, his confidences grown since we joined KH in April and that is down to the time and dedication everybody at Kirkham Henry has given to Zac…

Thank you for those kind words Laura, we hope Zac will give confidence to other parents like yourself to come forward and encourage their child to be part of KH.
