11.45am - 12.45pm Dancing for the Blind and Visually Impaired (supported by Sight Support Ryedale) 
Attending a dance class designed for blind and visually impaired individuals offers numerous physical and mental benefits. Physically, it improves strength, coordination, balance, through guided movements tailored to individual needs. The rhythmic nature of dance promotes spatial awareness and posture, fostering a greater sense of body control. Mentally, dance encourages self-expression, boosts confidence, and reduces stress by providing a creative outlet. The inclusive and supportive environment fosters social connections, building a sense of community and belonging. Participants leave feeling empowered, accomplished, and uplifted, proving that dance is a joyful and accessible experience for everyone. 
2.00pm - 3.00pm Happy Tappers afternoon 
An adult tap class for all abilities is a lively mix of fun, rhythm, and learning, creating an inclusive space where everyone can shine. Beginners master foundational steps like shuffles and flaps, while more experienced tappers refine technique and explore intricate combinations. The class blends rhythmic exercises with playful choreography, ensuring participants of all levels feel challenged and engaged. With upbeat music and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great way to stay active, boost coordination, and enjoy the camaraderie of a shared passion for dance. Every session is filled with laughter, learning, and the satisfying sound of synchronised tapping! 
7.15pm - 8.15pm Happy Tappers evening 
A slightly more advanced adult tap class is an energising and skill-building experience for dancers ready to take their abilities to the next level. While the pace is quicker, the atmosphere remains supportive and encouraging, fostering both individual progress and group synchronisation. It’s a rewarding way to stay active, sharpen skills, and enjoy the joy of tapping to slightly more advanced rhythms and patterns, not recommended for beginners. 

Tuesday 

10.00am - 10.45am Golden Gliders 
11.00am - 11.45am Golden Gliders 
A gentle-paced keep-fit dance class for older adults is a delightful blend of movement, fitness, and fun. Designed with care, the class features low-impact exercises and simple dance routines that improve flexibility, balance, and coordination without straining the body. Set to uplifting music, the movements are easy to follow and adapted to suit different abilities, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and included. The friendly atmosphere encourages social interaction, laughter, and a sense of community, making it not just a workout but a joyful way to stay active and energised. 
1.30pm - 2.30pm Dancing for neurological and mobility conditions ( including Parkinson's disease, dementia, MS, stroke) 
Attending a dance class for individuals with Parkinson's, dementia, or mobility issues offers both physical and emotional benefits. Gentle, rhythmic movements improve balance, coordination, while stimulating cognitive function and muscle memory. The creative and social environment enhances mood, reduces stress, and fosters a sense of connection and joy. Dance helps participants build confidence, maintain independence, and experience the therapeutic power of movement in a supportive, inclusive setting. 
7.00pm - 8.00pm White Swans 
A faster-paced adult ballet class for those with some experience offers a wealth of physical and mental benefits. The class challenges strength, flexibility, and coordination through intricate combinations and refined techniques. Dancers improve posture, core stability, and balance while deepening their understanding of classical ballet vocabulary. A knowledge of some ballet terminology is recommended. Beyond physical fitness, the class fosters creativity and self-expression, while the shared passion for ballet creates a motivating and inspiring atmosphere. It's a rewarding way to stay active, refine skills, and enjoy the artistry of dance. 

Wednesday 

1.00pm - 1.45pm Musical Chairs (seated dance) 
A seated dance class offers a fantastic way for individuals with limited mobility to stay active and support their overall fitness. Gentle, rhythmic movements performed while seated help improve circulation, coordination, and muscle strength. The class also provides a mild cardiovascular workout, promoting heart and lung health in a safe and accessible way. With uplifting music and creative choreography, participants enjoy improved flexibility, posture, and mood, while the social and engaging environment adds a sense of joy and community. It’s an inclusive way to boost both physical and emotional well-being. 
2.30pm - 3.30pm Silver Swans 
An RAD Silver Swans class is a ballet program tailored specifically for older adults, combining elegance, exercise, and enjoyment. The gentle pace and structured movements improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance, helping to maintain mobility and reduce the risk of falls. Mentally, the class engages memory, coordination, and focus, offering a stimulating challenge that keeps the mind sharp. With its welcoming, social atmosphere, Silver Swans fosters a sense of community, making it a delightful way to stay active and connect with others.
